Metallurgical / Materials Engineer
St. Louis Testing Laboratories, Inc. (an established, independent, industrial testing laboratory in St. Louis, Missouri) seeks metallurgical engineers or material engineers for immediate employment. A B.S. degree in metallurgical engineering, materials engineering or related field is preferred. A minimum of 2 years experience is preferred. An entry level position may also be available.
The position entails conducting failure analyses of various mechanical systems and components. The methods used in the position include metallographic preparation and imaging (microstructure evaluations), SEM-EDS fracture mode determinations, FTIR, ICP-OES, XRF, GC-MS, and various analytical methods.
